Corners of My Home: The Launderette
This is my favorite room in the house and its not even a room. It is a closet, the laundry closet. i like to call it the launderette.
It is a place where I can have everything girly and just so without complaints. I can close the doors and no one has to know about it. But I think it is too pretty to keep it shut off. It had been a springy-green before but I repainted it pale pink, the same color the inside of the cabinet is now. There was also a little tiny light fixture that made it dark and sad. I found an old milk glass school house style shade at St. Vincent's for a dollar (these things are like $50 for reproductions ) and now everything is sunny and bright.
My Momma got me some glass canisters with red lids in the holiday markdowns for my little laundry room. I think I will replace the ones with the silver lids for them. And I just adore that red and blue bunting from Alicia . it makes doing laundry a party.
