Finally!

Hosta Closeup

My computer was down for about two weeks and I finally got it back home, safe and sound, last night.  I have had so much to do outside, though, that I didn't really miss it.

Mouse Ears Hosta

On Monday Momma and I went to The Flower Factory just south of Oregon.  They only grow and sell perennials and a girl could loose her mind there.  This little hosta is called 'Blue Mouse Ears' and only grows to ten inches.  Right now he is only about two inches.  I just can't stand the adorableness of the small velvet leaves.

Peanut Hosta

This tiny one is called 'Peanut' and will only be about six inches tall.  I like his variegation.

Teaspoon hosta

This hosta is named 'Teaspoon'.  Just shut up with this name.  I have such a soft spot for spoons anyway so I had to buy him.  The names of hostas are as bad as the names of paint.  I am such a sucker for a clever name.  And hostas have some good ones.  Spilt Milk, Cracker Crumbs, Alligator Shoes, Striptease, Banana Muffins, T. Rex, Scooter, Piecrust Power, Green Velveteen, and Cheatin' Heart are some of my favorites.  It could be the ugliest hosta in the world but could you leave it behind if it's name was 'Golden Waffles'?  I think not.  Unfortunately our house has only small trees that provide minimal shade so it will be a while before I will have homes for more.  That and I ran out of money.
